The brief

The brief

A powder coating facility carries both fire risk and a genuine explosive atmosphere risk from combustible dust, so the two assessments needed to be read together.

What Orakul Safety did

Chris carried out a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 alongside a DSEAR assessment of the coating process, and set out recommendations that were specific to the plant rather than generic.
