Privacy Policy.
How Orakul Safety collects, uses, stores and protects personal information.
Who we are
Orakul Safety is an independent Health & Safety consultancy based at Collingwood Buildings, 38 Collingwood Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 1JF. For any question about this policy, contact info@orakulsafety.co.uk or 07943 843955.
What we collect
When you complete the enquiry form we collect your name, company, email address, telephone number and the details of your enquiry.
During consultancy work we may hold information contained in your Health & Safety records, such as names of employees involved in an incident or included in a training record.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, provide a quotation and deliver the consultancy services you ask for.
To meet our own legal and professional obligations, including retaining records of the advice given.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, performance of a contract to deliver agreed work, and legal obligation where records must be retained.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to completed consultancy work are retained for six years, or longer where the nature of the advice or an insurance requirement makes that necessary.
Sharing
Information is shared only where it is necessary to deliver the work — for example with an accredited asbestos or water hygiene specialist you have asked us to coordinate — or where we are required to disclose it by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, or request that it be restricted. Contact info@orakulsafety.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
